Ever since I found out about this blue light therapy device which is sold as part of a 3-step acne skincare solution from Positively Clear (a branch of Tria Beauty), I became a little obsessed. I did some reasearch (okay, a lot) and what I found was promising, so I went ahead and ordered it. Here is my full, in-depth, review on this product after using it for 8 weeks consistently. If you have acne and you're desperate (like me) to get rid of it, read this review! It's quite long, so grab some popcorn (or just skip to the parts you're interested in)!
I first heard of this mask from an Instagram post by @thenorthernpretty (aka Bonnie). She saw a shopper with about a dozen of these in their cart and asked someone about it. An employee at Sephora described the benefits of this mask and she was sold. I trust Bonnie's opinion and she said she loved this mask and would recommend it to others. Therefore...I needed this mask and luckily received it as a gift!
If you love anything HYDRATING you'll love this mask, so read my review by clicking "Read More" below. I'm back with another review! If you missed my last review on the Milani Conceal + Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation, please check it out HERE.
More on topic, I've had the Huda Beauty Rose Gold Palette for about two months now, and I know this review is late but I still wanted to share my honest thoughts on this product. If you're looking into buying it, definitely keep reading! Hi everyone! I'm back with another review! If you know me at all, you know I LOVE highlighting and anything that makes me look glowy/dewey and lit. I have a few favorite highlighters, but they are all powders. I saw these in Walmart and was instantly intrigued, I had to try them. I've also read about them being dupes for Benefit's High Beam and Sun Beam. I couldn't find many in depth reviews on these so here is mine! I really like this product, and if you keep reading you'll see why.
A lot of buzz is going around the makeup community about the Nivea for Men After (or Post) Shave Balm for Sensitive Skin. I believe Nikkie Tutorials on Youtube first talked about it and from then on, everyone seems to be trying it. Including me! Because this is supposed to act as a primer, I used it for about a week, and really tested it out - experiment style. Keep reading to see what I discovered!
I love using masks and I've heard everyone and their mom rave about the Glam Glow face masks sold at Sephora for $70 each. That's a really steep price and I've heard that this mask does something similar in terms of detoxifying and cleaning, so I decided to try this out instead. I've used it at least six to seven times now, so I'd like to share my first impressions of this mask and an overall review. If you're looking into buying this, definitely keep reading!
Looxi Beauty (@looxi_beauty on instagram) is a new makeup company (it's also cruelty free) that started this past June. They have been in business for less than 6 months and are already doing so well. It's run by a lady named Jessica and let me tell you, she is so hard working! The company has been continuously introducing new products and new shades, and they have some pretty unique stuff. For example, in the upcoming month they will be releasing a permanent collection of duochrome eyeshadows (called the 'Auroras'), and duchrome highlights. They already have such unique colours in highlighters, so this will be such a cool addition. Did I mention everything is super affordable?? Each of their eyeshadows is $5, and highlighters is $15. They also have these cool products called 'Kickers' which are basically liquid highlighters that match their powder counterpart. You can get a highlighter and matching kicker for only $15 as well. Steal! I ordered a few of their products to test them out and I'd like to take this chance to review them. If you'd like to see what I think, keep reading!
I know, I know. I'm late on the band wagon. Champagne Pop is a highlighter BECCA and Jaclyn Hill created together. It released months ago and is limited edition. As I said, late on the band wagon. But I'm SO glad I finally got on. If you don't already have this highlighter, let me tell you why you absolutely NEED this NOW. But first, feel free to drool over the following photos:
Hi everyone!
Colourpop Cosmetics (if you haven't already heard of it) is a new company based out of LA. They have been in business for over a year now and let me tell you they are pretty awesome! Everyone began loving them when they ordered their eyeshadows. They are quite unique, they feel cushiony and the colour payoff is intense. However this post is about the ultra matte lippies that they came out a little while ago. They started out with 25 beautiful shades in the line and then added 8 new colors very recently. The best part is, they are only $6!!!
I ordered the Vanity Planet Spin for Perfect Skin brush about 7 weeks ago, I waited until I had used it quite thoroughly before saying anything about it. So that is what this whole post will be about, but first I want to provide some context and talk about the products I use in my skincare routine because it goes hand in hand. This is going to be a long post, but please bear with me as I include some pretty important information about this product including coupon codes!
I bought this foundation at least 3 weeks ago and waited until I tried it out several times before giving my opinion on it. As all my reviews are and always will be, this is 100% my honest opinion of the product.
I've been busy with school and work the last few weeks, and it's always hard to find time to sit down and write a proper blog post, but I'm finally ready to share what I've been working on for awhile which is a review of the NYX Born to Glow Liquid Illuminator. I bought mine for $11, but I'm sure they are less expensive in other places. On the website, they retails for $7.50, come in tubes of 18 mL, and come in two shades: Sunbeam and Gleam. Sunbeam is the lighter shade of the two, almost a champagne color. It has been described as a dupe to Benefits High Beam, whether or not that is true I'm not sure. I, however purchased the darker shade which is Gleam. I figured that since Sunbeam was so light, it likely suited more fair skintones while Gleam suited darker skintones. Gleam has a pink-bronze tone to it.
What really appeals to me is that, firstly the product is meant to illuminate and act as a highlight. I LOVE highlighter and highlighting so this makes sense. Second, because it is a liquid product, you can use it to give your face a healthy glow and keep it dewy. Coming from a girl with fairly dry skin, I don't always want to look matte, I actually love the look of healthy glowy dewy skin! I've heard a lot of good things about the NYC Liquid Eyeliner from all over the place. I've seen it being using in Youtube tutorials by people like Desi Perkins, who does her liner with gel and a brush and then goes back with this liquid liner to darken it and make the line more sharp. That's what I want. A line so sharp it cuts. I already had the NYC liquid liner sitting around (bought it one time because I couldn't find the Maybelline stilletto liner in stores and it was cheap) but I didn't quite like the brush. I decided to go shopping because I thought I had gotten a defective one. So I went to Shoppers Drug Mart (don't buy them there, they are cheaper at Walmart) and picked one up. The only shade available was Pearlized Black which is the shade I had already so I thought maybe they only sell this one shade for this liner. I also found a felt tip high definition liner from NYC so I bought that too and decided to test them out. I don't like them. Either of them. And I'll tell you why.
